These hand-made straw baskets originate from the town of Bolgatanga (hence their name 'Bolga'), in northern Ghana.  Bolga baskets are hand-made in a long and laborious process to produce a beautiful and strong weave. Made in bright shades of oranges and green colors, this large basket can be used to carry items to/from the market, or can be used during an African event.
